Hotone Recycling

Most recycling industry websites tend to rely on basic, green-centric designs with little visual dynamism, failing to communicate innovation or brand heritage. Hotone required a fresh visual narrative that could project its long-standing commitment to innovation while appealing to a modern audience. Moreover, using a mix of stock images, archival photos, and AI-generated visuals risked inconsistency if not handled carefully.

Challenge

Hotone, a Southern Taiwan-based recycling company with over 40 years of history, wanted a modern, engaging corporate website that broke away from the traditional, utilitarian look common in the recycling industry. They also needed a high level of interactivity to keep users interested, but they preferred not to invest in professional photography. With limited existing photos and budget constraints, our challenge was to creatively source and integrate visuals in a way that made the website lively and cohesive.

Solution

Our approach was to reinvent the visual identity by choosing a color palette that breaks industry norms—using a dominant sky blue for trust and freshness, complemented by green accents to nod to environmental values. We introduced interactive design elements throughout the website to boost engagement. Through meticulous curation and careful editing, we integrated stock, archival, and AI-generated photos into a unified, vibrant visual style that reflects Hotone’s innovative spirit without the need for expensive professional photography.

Outcome/Results

The final website is modern, interactive, and visually cohesive—successfully setting Hotone apart from typical recycling sites. The blue-and-green color scheme and dynamic content have revitalized the brand’s online presence, effectively conveying its rich history and forward-thinking approach. This fresh digital identity has attracted positive feedback and strengthened the company’s reputation as a leader in sustainable innovation.
